To me, a photograph is a moment in time, captured forever. Everyone knows that time does not stand still but we all get so busy with our lives that eventually when we do stop for a moment, we wonder where all that time went. Only in photography does time stand still. An image captured today will forever remind us of that moment in time.

My photography is inspired by the natural wonders surrounding me on my island home.  Phillip Island is a popular holiday destination and is surrounded by beautiful beaches, ranging from rocky coves and placid sandy bay beaches to wild surf breaks that crash onto the sandy shores bordering tempestuous Bass Strait. Phillip Island boasts prolific wildlife including koalas, wallabies, penguins, seals, and many varieties of sea-birds. The whole island offers so many opportunities for a photographer!

My other great interest is in travel photography, and I like nothing better than heading off to distant and interesting places further afield in Australia and overseas. In 2011 I spent almost six months exploring and photographing in South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. 2012 saw a camping trip through Queensland to the most northern point of the Australian mainland, at the tip of Cape York Peninsula. In 2013 I spent three months in Europe discovering some of the historic wonders of that continent and in 2014 returned to The Kimberley to explore the magic of the Gibb River Road. More recently I spent three months discovering the amazing diversity of the national parks of the South West of America. I feel privileged to have the opportunity of visiting so many wonderful places.

I hope you enjoy my images.
